KaiOS Product Approval

OEMs need to register project information before project kick-off with KaiOS. In this step, OEMs will share and get KaiOS approval for hardware specifications and OS baselines.

OEMs need to register all commercial references (CU Ref) in the KaiOS backend.

By default, OEMs need to register and use the KaiOS FOTA system for software OTA upgrades.

OEM phones need to deliver samples to KaiOS and submit commercial release software to KaiOS to get KaiOS KAPIC (Kai API Check) approval before any commercial software release:

• All hardware needs to pass KaiOS hardware requirements
• APIs must meet KaiOS requirements
• OEM phones need to pass mandatory platform security feature verification
